Today i received something in the mail that I thought was lost forever. In the fall of 2008 I started a moleskine with one of my greatest friends Cory Grandfield. After both being home for one of the most amazing summers he returned to Canada and I to Richmond. To keep in touch we wrote back and forth in this moleskine. This really only lasted six months. Three years later I receive a package here in Nebraska and much to my surprise there it was! It’s weird going back and reading about my life at 19. I do believe it was one of my best years yet. The greatest part of it all was that cory updated with numerous entries ending with the one above. I’m so thankful to have friends who remind me to be fearless and that its ok to be selfish sometimes. As always my wheels are turning and plans for my next adventure continue to be in the works. xoxo kate

My birthday has been pretty on point these last few years. Baseball games, friendship cookouts, and now an Ameri-birthday. My team made sure I had the best day, which included a cupcake cake and bowling! Thank you to everyone who called, texted, instagrammed, and posted best wishes. Seriously was the best gift to hear from so many friends. Happy cinco de mayo amigos! ole! ole! xoxo kate
